Economic Performance of European Union: Trends and Policies

Conference focus:
The conference will explore the economic performance of the EU, the underlying trends and economic policies. Emphasis will be on the recent experiences and the functioning of the European Economic and Monetary Union.
Following fields will be discussed:
- Future of EMU
- Impact of Ageing
- Fiscal policies within EMU
- New member states and EMU
- Labor markets
- Does EMU converge or diverge?
- EU in the globalized economy of 21st century
Format of the Conference:
The language of the conference is English. Papers will be presented in 6 sessions. Each presentation will be discussed. Only selected papers will be published in the form of monograph by the international publisher. Conference will take place on the premises of the Mendel University in Brno, Czech Republic.
