Economic and Monetary Union: 10 Years of Success?

Conference focus:
 
The conference will explore the economic performance of the EMU, the underlying trends and economic policies. Emphasis will be on the 10 years experiences and the functioning of the European Economic and Monetary Union.
 
Following fields will be discussed:
 
  1. 10 years of EMU
  2. Future of EMU
  3. Fiscal policies within EMU
  4. New member states and EMU
  5. Does EMU converge or diverge?
  6. Euro as a world currency
  7. OCA theory and its application for EMU
 
Format of the Conference:
 
The language of the conference is English. Chosen papers will be presented in 5-6 sessions. Each presentation will be discussed. Text of papers and discussion contributions will be published in the form of monograph by the international publisher. 
 
Conference will take place on the premises of the Mendel University in Brno, Czech Republic. For the contributing participants, rooms will be reserved in Brno hotels.
